Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Outlet Pipe Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. If applicable, remove the secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet pipe.
2. Remove the mounting bolt (3) that attaches the EGR outlet pipe flange to the intake manifold.
3. Remove the nut (2) that attaches the EGR outlet pipe to the EGR valve adapter pipe assembly.
4. Remove the EGR valve outlet pipe (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EGR valve outlet pipe (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install bolt (3) to the intake manifold.

Tighten
Tighten the mounting bolt to 29 N.m (21 lb ft).

3. Install retaining nut (2) to the EGR valve adapter pipe assembly.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 29 N.m (21 lb ft).

4. If applicable, install the secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet pipe.
