Steering Wheel Control Switch

Steering Wheel Control Switch Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the steering wheel.





3. Remove the steering wheel rear bezel retaining screws (1).
4. Remove the steering wheel rear bezel (2).





5. Insert a small. blunt ended tool into the access hole in the back of the steering wheel in order to push the switch out of the steering wheel.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure
1. Connect the electrical connector.





2. Align the switch to the switch opening in the steering wheel.
3. Snap the switch into the steering wheel.





4. Install the steering wheel rear bezel (2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the steering wheel rear bezel retaining screws (1).
Tighten the steering wheel rear bezel retaining screws to 3 Nm (26 inch lbs.).
6. Install the steering wheel.
7. Enable the SIR system.
