Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the spark plug wires. Note the position from which the wires are removed.
2. Remove the ignition coil screws.
3. Remove the ignition coil from the ignition control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the ignition coil to the ignition control module.
2. Install the ignition coil screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

3. Connect the spark plug wires.
