Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper

TRIM PAD REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the windshield garnish molding.



2. Lift the upper trim panel approximately 51 mm (2.0 in) and pull rearward to release the upper trim panel retainers from the instrument panel (I/P).

IMPORTANT: Remove the upper trim panel slowly, because the retainer clips could possibly fall into the instrument panel.

3. Remove the DRL ambient light sensor.
4. If equipped, remove the sun load sensor.
5. Remove the I/P upper trim panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Align the locating pins and the retainers from the upper trim panel to the slots in the I/P.




2. Install the DRL ambient light sensor.
3. If removed, install the sun load sensor.




4. Push forward and down on the I/P upper trim panel to lock into place.
5. Install the windshield garnish molding.
