Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the intake manifold cover.
2. Disconnect the fuel injector harness electrical connector from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.




3. Remove the MAP sensor bolt/stud and bracket.
4. Remove the MAP sensor and the MAP sensor port seal if it is still retained in the intake manifold.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the MAP sensor to the intake manifold.
2. Install the MAP sensor bracket and bolt/stud.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Connect the fuel injector harness electrical connector to the MAP sensor.
4. Install the intake manifold cover.
