Ignition Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the steering column trim covers.
3. Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
4. Remove the theft deterrent module from the lock cylinder housing.





5. Remove the screws (2) from the ignition switch (1).
6. Remove the ignition switch (1) from the ignition lock cylinder case.
7. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the ignition switch electrical connector.
2. Install the ignition switch (1) to the ignition lock cylinder case.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the screws (2) to the ignition switch (1).
^ Tighten the screws to 1.25 Nm (11 inch lbs.).
4. Install the theft deterrent module to the lock cylinder housing.
5. Install the ignition lock cylinder.
6. Install the steering column trim covers.
7. Enable the SIR System.
