Sunroof Module Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: A new sunroof module assembly will not have the sunroof window or sunshade as components of the new service part.

1. The old sunroof window and sunshade will need to be installed to the new sunroof module assembly.
2. Remove the sunroof window.




3. Remove the sunshade panel.
4. Remove the headliner.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunroof module.




6. Disconnect the front and rear drain hoses from the sunroof module.




7. Have an assistant support the sunroof module.
8. Remove the bolts from the sunroof module.
9. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the sunroof module to the vehicle roof with an assistant.

Notice: refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the sunroof module bolts.

Tighten the sunroof module bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Connect the front and rear drain hoses to the sunroof module.




4. Connect the electrical connector to the sunroof module.
5. Install the sunshade panel.
6. Install the sunroof window.
7. Perform the Initialization/Teach Procedure. refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process (Existing Motor) Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process (New Motor).
8. Inspect for proper operation of the sunroof. refer to Sunroof Description and Operation (One Connector System).
9. Install the headliner.
