Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair



Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir.
2. Remove the drive belt.
3. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (3) from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.




4. Remove the CMP sensor bolt and sensor.

Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Install the camshaft position sensor and bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




2. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (3) to the CMP sensor.
3. Install the drive belt.
4. Install the coolant recovery reservoir.
