Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 3.8L engine or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 3.6L (LY7) engine or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 5.3L (LS4) engine.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.




3. Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor from the liquid line.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the new O-ring seal. Refer to O-Ring Replacement (O-Ring Replacement).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the refrigerant pressure sensor to the liquid line.

Tighten the sensor to 4.7 N.m (41 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
4. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 3.8L engine or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 3.6L (LY7) engine or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) for the 5.3L (LS4) engine.
5. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A.
