Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the left instrument panel (I/P) sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side).
2. Disconnect the body harness electrical connector (1) from the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor.




3. Remove the accelerated pedal nuts.
4. Remove the accelerator pedal.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the accelerator pedal.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the accelerated pedal nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




3. Connect the body harness electrical connector (1) to the APP sensor.
4. Install the left I/P sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side).
