Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector (2).




2. Loosen and remove the knock sensor (2).

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution)

Note: DO NOT apply thread sealant to the sensor threads. The sensor threads are coated at the factory. Applying additional sealant affects the sensors ability to detect detonation.

1. Install and tighten the knock sensor (2) to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).




2. Connect the knock sensor electrical connector (2).
