Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Replacement - Left Side






Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the secondary air injection check valve bracket. Refer to Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Bracket Replacement.
2. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement

Procedure
1. Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Fastener (Qty: 2)

Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in)

2. Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter

1. Remove the right secondary air injection check valve pipe adaptor.
2. Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.

Note: The secondary air injection check valve pipe adaptors share the use of the exhaust manifold gasket. Both adaptors must be removed in order to replace the exhaust manifold gasket.


Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Replacement - Right Side






Preliminary Procedure

Remove the left secondary air injection check valve pipe adaptor.

Procedure
1. Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Fastener

Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft)

2. Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter Fastener (Qty: 2)

Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in)

3. Secondary Air Injection Check Valve Pipe Adapter

Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.
