Cylinder Head Assembly

Left Sequence:

DO NOT reuse the old cylinder head bolts.

Install the NEW M11 cylinder head bolts (1).
Tighten the M11 cylinder head bolts a first pass in sequence to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
Tighten the M11 cylinder head bolts a second pass in sequence an additional 150.
Install the 2 NEW front M8 left cylinder head bolts (2).
Tighten the M8 cylinder head bolts a first pass to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
Tighten the M8 cylinder head bolts a second pass in sequence an additional 75 degrees.

Deck Flatness

Warpage less than 0.05 mm (0.002 in)

Camshaft bearing cap

Left (DI):

Right (DI):

First pass 10 Nm (89 lb in)
Second pass bolts 1-4 Loosen
Final pass bolts 1-4 10 Nm (89 lb in)
