Ball Joint
Install the J 8001 - set (1) in a way to measure vertical lash in the
ball joint.
Do not pry in such a way that the
ball joint seal is contacted. Damage to the seal may result.
Gently lift or pry the
suspension to induce
ball joint movement.
If the dial indicator indicates a reading greater than 0.5 mm (0.02 in), replace the lower control arm.
