Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair





Engine Oil Level Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement Service and Repair.




2. Remove the oil level sensor clip (1).




3. Remove the oil level fastener (1).




4. Remove oil level sensor (1).

5. Remove and DISCARD the oil level sensor O-ring (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install a NEW oil level sensor O-ring (2).

2. Install the oil level sensor (1).




3. Install the oil level sensor fastener (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in)




4. Slid and install the oil level sensor clip (1).

5. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement Service and Repair.
