Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair




Engine Oil Level Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement Service and Repair.




2. Remove the oil level sensor wiring harness plug clip.




3. Remove the 2 oil level sensor bolts (2).

4. Remove the oil level sensor wiring harness from the lashes in the oil pan (4)

5. Remove the oil level sensor wiring harness plug (1) from the oil pan. Remove and DISCARD the seal ring (5).

6. Remove the oil level sensor (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the oil level sensor (3).

2. Install the oil level sensor wiring harness to the lashes in the oil pan (4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the 2 oil level sensor bolts (2) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

4. Install the oil level sensor wiring harness plug (1) to the oil pan. Install a NEW seal ring (5)




5. Install the oil level sensor wiring harness plug clip.

6. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement Service and Repair.
