Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle, allowing control arms to hang freely.
2. Remove left front wheel and tire.
3. Disconnect stabilizer bar at control arms and control arm supports.
4. Remove rear and center control arm support bolts, lower support assembly and remove stabilizer bar through left side of vehicle.
5. Install stabilizer bar bushing with slit facing toward front of vehicle, Fig. 8.
6. Holding stabilizer bar approximately 21/4 inches above support assembly, torque stabilizer bar to control arm support attaching bolts to 20 ft. lbs., Fig. 8.
7. Install stabilizer bar to lower control arm and torque attaching bolts to 15 ft. lbs., Fig. 8.
