Oil Line: Service and Repair

OIL FEED PIPE
The oil feed pipe transfers oil from the oil pump to the filter adapter. The tube has two O-rings to seal to the crankcase above the pump outlet.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Oil filter adapter.

IMPORTANT Mark oil feed pipe flange position releative to block. This will aid you in the reassembly procedure.

2. Oil feed pipe by prying up on the flange with a thin flat blade screwdriver. Discard O-rings.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
^ Grease the O-ring seals.

1. Oil feed pipe to block. Insert tube until it starts into the lower hole. Tube flange will protrude approximately 1/2" above the block.
2. Rotate tube clockwise until it just binds, then reverse direction slightly.
3. Using a small rocking notion, gently finish insertion of seal and tube.

IMPORTANT: Forcing the tube straight into the block may cut the O-rings.

4. Oil filter adapter.
