SUBJECT: PULSE WIPER PHANTOM WIPE

MODELS AFFECTED: 1984 CIMARRON


Some 1984 Cimarrons may experience a false (phantom) wipe when the wiper control is in the "OFF" position.

To correct this condition, install a new pulse wiper switch, P/N 7848195, for a standard column or P/N 7848196 for a tilt column. Refer to Section 3B3 of the 1984 Cimarron Service Manual for the proper removal and installation procedure of the wiper switch.

For warranty purposes, use Labor Operation No. N2610 at .8 hour.
