Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

ELDORADO & SEVILLE

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge system refrigerant.
2. Drain cooling system, then remove cross tower support brace.
3. Disconnect and plug hoses at heater core.
4. Remove sound insulator cover retaining screws, heat shield retaining screws and harness strap.
5. Disconnect high and low side temperature sensor electrical connectors, then remove harness bracket and clips.
6. Remove evaporator block fitting bolt from evaporator.
7. Remove module sound insulator cover attaching screws, then the righthand small section of the cover.
8. Remove two screws from righthand side of module cover, then the module cover with sound insulator and seal.
9. Remove evaporator core bracket screw and the evaporator core.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
