Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

CAVALIER, CIMARRON, SKYHAWK,
FIRENZA, & SUNBIRD

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge system refrigerant. Raise vehicle on suitable hoist, then remove right and left air dams. Remove lower fascia to fender bolts.
2. Disconnect lower line at condenser.
3. Lower vehicle. Remove both core support to fascia filler panels and mounting brackets. Remove hood latch.
4. Remove headlamp bezels and upper fender to fascia bolts. Pull fascia forward.
5. Disconnect upper condenser line. Remove condenser brackets and condenser.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
