SUBJECT: INTERMEDIATE PIPE REPLACEMENT ON ALL WELDED EXHAUST SYSTEMS

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985-86 DE VILLE, FLEETWOOD & CIMARRON 1986 ELDORADO, SEVILLE

All 1985-86 FWD De Villes, Fleetwoods, and Cimarrons, and 1986 Eldorado and Sevilles were equipped with welded exhaust systems. When replacing the intermediate exhaust pipe on any of these models, a service muffler will also have to be ordered unless the system was previously repaired. The replacement intermediate pipe outlet has the same outside diameter as the inlet of the original equipment muffler. The service muffler has a larger diameter inlet pipe that fits over the intermediate pipe outlet.
