SUBJECT: FUEL LINE REPLACEMENT ON MULTI-PORT FUEL INJECTED ENGINES

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 2.8L CIMARRON


The fuel system used on the 1985 Cimarron V-6 Multi-port Fuel Injection (MFI) engine operates at a higher pressure than carbureted or throttle body injected engines.

Coupled hose assemblies are not to be repaired. If a hose is damaged, it must be replaced as an assembly.

Fuel hoses requiring replacement should be ordered from GMWDD.

The 1985 Service Manual should be reviewed for specific fuel system pressure diagnosis and repairs.
