Compressor and/or Mounting Brackets

COMPRESSOR AND MOUNTING BRACKETS D.F.I. ENGINE

REMOVE
1. Serpentine belt. Hoist car.

Compressor Splash Shields:

2. Three A/C compressor splash shield screws (13) and splash shield (2).

Compressor Splash Shields:

3. Four right engine splash shield retainers (3) and splash shield (4).
4. Electrical connection at compressor.

Compressor Hose Assembly Retention:

5. Compressor hose assembly bolt (5).

Compressor Mounting:

6. Loosen AIR pump to compressor brace bolt (7) one turn.
7. Compressor mounting bolts (8) and (9) and compressor (10).
8. Compressor mounting bracket bolts (11, 12), and brackets (13) (14).

INSTALL
^ Install in reverse order, noting the following:

TIGHTEN
^ Compressor mounting bracket bolts (11), 45 Nm and nuts (12).
^ Compressor mounting bolts (8), 45 Nm, (9) 30 Nm.
^ Compressor hose assembly bolt (5), 35 Nm.

NOTICE: All leaks must be repaired. Under no circumstances should compressor be operated when a leak exists. Loss of refrigerant prevents oil return to compressor and operating compressor may damage it.
