SUBJECT: DOOR WINDOW SWITCH PLATE ESCUTCHEON

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 DE VILLES AND FLEETWOODS

SWITCH PLATE:

This bulletin supersedes Serviceman Bulletin 85-57, Group 10, which should be destroyed.

Door window switch plate escutcheons (wood grain appliques) which may become loose from the switch plate base may be repaired as follows:

1. Thoroughly clean the cementing surfaces using 3M-8984 or equivalent solvent.

2. Recement switch plate escutcheon to switch plate base using 3M-8101 structural adhesive, Loctite Quick Jel(SGGA) or equivalent, recement escutcheon to switch plate base. Follow adhesive manufacturer's label directions for bonding.

For warranty purposes, use Labor Operation No. T0131 at .3 hour per door.
