REMOVAL

1. Raise hood and remove air cleaner housing and extension.
2. Remove injector electrical connectors, then the eight pressure regulator attaching screws and the regulator.
3. Remove injector from fuel meter body by carefully lifting out with a screwdriver, Fig. 43. Leave fuel meter cover gasket in place to prevent damage to body casting.
4. Discard upper and lower O-rings.




INSTALLATION

1. Lubricate, then install new O-ring over injector nozzle.
2. Position upper O-ring back up washer and a new lubricated upper O-ring into housing bore.
3. Position injector into throttle body, then center nozzle into bottom housing bore, and install injector. Align electrical terminals so that pin in bottom of injector fits into locating hole in bottom of injector cavity.
4. Install pressure regulator, then start engine and check for leaks and proper injector operation.
5. Connect injector electrical connectors.
