SUBJECT: THM 440 T4

- SUPPLEMENT -

Service Information Letter (SIL) # 87-25 (Aug.) refers to a change in the 3rd clutch inner seal included in part no. 8644919

This seal can be used as a replacement for all models, providing the original seal was not damaged, and the 2-3 shift was not long, or delayed.

If the 2-3 shift was long or delayed, and/or the 3rd clutch inner seal was found to be damaged, it is recommended that the following be replaced:

8646991 Input housing 3rd clutch inner seal 3rd roller clutch assembly


The input housing included in 8646991 has a narrower groove for the 3rd clutch inner seal.
