Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect






1. Drain radiator
2. Cross tower support bracket
3. Cowl relay center bracket (2 nuts) and position aside to gain access
4. High side temperature sensor connector, low side temperature sensor connector, low pressure switch connector and harness bracket and clips
5. Heater core inlet and outlet coolant hoses
6. Heater hose T-connector and move to gain access
7. Heat shield. Two (2) screws in engine compartment, raise car and two (2) screws underneath.

CAUTION: Wear gloves when removing heat shield

8. Two module cover retaining screws (1 1Omm screw and one 7mm screw)
9. Lower car and rotate engine forward
10. Air cleaner
11. E.G.R. solonoid and move electrical harness to gain access
12. Module cover screws (5) 3 upper and 2 on right hand side
13. Power module and electrical connectors
14. Module cover with sound barrier and seal
15. Evaporator core

Tighten

Evaporator block fitting bolt (5), 17 N m
Module cover retaining bolts (4) 3 N m
