Intake Manifold Replacement



Upper Intake Manifold:





REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the vacuum lines. Note the position of the hoses.
3. Remove the transmission dipstick tube bolt.
4. Disconnect the MAT electrical connector.
5. Remove the rear upper intake manifold support.
6. Remove the throttle body assembly. Separate from the upper intake and discard the gasket.
7. Remove the throttle heater assembly. Discard the gasket.
8. Remove the four upper intake manifold attaching nuts.
9. Remove the upper intake manifold, and discard the gasket.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install the new upper intake to lower intake gasket.
2. Install the upper intake manifold and attaching nuts, and tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb.ft).
3. Install the throttle heater and new gasket.
4. Install the throttle body assembly and new gasket, and tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb.ft).
5. Install the upper intake manifold support.
6. Connect the MAT electrical connector.
7. Install the transmission dipstick tube bolt.
8. Connect all vacuum lines.
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
