Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Body Assembly - Exploded View:

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Remove the two TPS attaching screws and retainers.
3. Remove the throttle position sensor.

INSTALLATION:

1. With both throttle valves in the normal closed idle position, install the Throttle Position Sensor on the throttle body assembly, making sure the TPS pickup lever engages the TPS drive lever on the throttle shaft.
2. Install the two new TPS attaching screws with retainers. DO NOT tighten the screws until the TPS is adjusted.
3. Connect the electrical connector.
