Information Bus: Description and Operation

The Body Computer Module (BCM) employs a computer to control the following vehicle functions:
^ Electronic Climate Control (ECC) system.
^ Retained Accessory Power, which provides power to Power Windows, Trunk Lid Release, Astro Roof, Radio and Wipers after the Ignition Switch is turned to OFF.
^ The Vacuum Fluorescent Illumination and Dimming.
^ Display information on the ECC and Fuel Data Center.
^ Storage of diagnostic codes for troubleshooting and repairing the vehicle.
^ The BCM also commands the PCM to turn on the Coolant Fans if Refrigerant High Side Temperature becomes excessive.
