Wiper Switch: Service and Repair


1. Disarm airbag as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION Failure to do so may result in accidental deployment of airbag, possibly causing personal injury.
2. Remove steering wheel as outlined under STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/STEERING/COMPONENT REPLACEMENT REPAIR PROCEDURES/STEERING WHEEL.
3. Slide connector cover toward front of vehicle, then unplug electrical connector.
4. Push lever in and rotate clockwise 1/4 turn and pull out switch.
5. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. After all work has been completed, rearm airbag as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION.
