Accelerator Cable Less V4U Coachbuilder Option

Fig. 33 Cable Bead To Cruise Control Module Assembly:

1. Remove outer cover and shield from adjuster, then cable retaining clip and inner cover from adjuster, Fig. 33.
2. Using a small flat-bladed tool, release lock tab on cable assembly while sliding cable casing out of adjuster.
3. Remove beads of cable from slots in adjuster, then cable from cruise control module as follows:
a. Compress conduit tangs and pull from module.
b. Disconnect cable bead from cruise motor ribbon end fitting on module, Fig. 33.
4. Remove cable from accelerator pedal and body, then cable from vehicle.
5. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Ribbon must not be twisted, slide end fitting over ribbon and install in module until tangs snap in place.
b. Adjust accelerator cable as outlined (less V4U Coachbuilder Equipment Option).
