Malfunction Indicator Lamp: Description and Operation

Maintenance Indicator Lamp (
MIL) is controlled by the PCM through circuit 419 and indicates that the PCM has detected a problem that affects vehicle emissions, may cause powertrain damage or severely impacts driveability.
