Generator
PURPOSE Allows the PCM to control vehicle
charging system.
OPERATION When the
ignition switch is placed in "RUN", voltage is supplied to generator terminal L by the PCM, turning on the regulator. The generator's regulator uses digital techniques to supply current to the rotor, thereby controlling the output voltage.
LOCATION The generator is bolted to the front of the engine.
