Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Replacement

Throttle Body Assembly:

THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor connector.
3. Crankcase vent pipe at air intake duct.
4. Air intake duct with air cleaner housing.
5. Throttle Position (TP) sensor connector.
6. Transaxle vent hose and vacuum lines at ISC actuator bracket.
7. Vacuum manifold at throttle body.
8. Throttle body mount bolts.
9. TP sensor at throttle body.

CLEAN
Throttle body gasket surfaces.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. TP sensor at throttle body. Tighten TP sensor screws to 2.3 Nm (20 lb. in.).
2. New throttle body O-ring seal, throttle body and mount bolts. Tighten Throttle body bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb. in.).
3. Vacuum manifold at throttle body.
4. Transaxle vent hose and vacuum lines at ISC actuator bracket.
5. TP sensor connector.
6. Air intake duct with air cleaner housing.
7. Crankcase vent pipe at air intake duct.
8. IAT sensor connector.
9. Negative battery cable.

ADJUST
Perform Throttle Position Sensor/Idle Learn Procedure. Idle Learn Procedure
