Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair
Fig. 4 Backup/neutral Safety Switch Replacement:
1.
Remove shift linkage, electrical connector and vacuum hose.
2.
Remove attaching nut and shift lever, then the fuel line bracket.
3.
Remove switch attaching screws, then the switch

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a.
Torque attaching screws to 20 ft. lbs.
b.
Adjust switch. Refer to
Adjustments.
