Locking Rod Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the divers door When operated, the Express Down feature allows the door window to drop very quickly, which could cause personal injury.

Locking Rod Replacement (Front Door): Removal Procedure:




1. Disable SIR system if equipped with SIR side impact system.
2. Remove the front door trim panel.
3. Remove the front door water deflector.
4. Unclip the locking rod from the lock.
5. Remove the locking rod.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Locking Rod Replacement (Front Door): Installation Procedure:




1. Install the locking rod.
2. Clip the locking rod to the lock.
3. Remove the front door water deflector.
4. Remove the front door trim panel.
5. Enable SIR system if equipped with SIR side impact system.
