Side Impact System Install or Connect

Install or Connect
1. The SISM to the door sheetmetal.
^ Ensure the connector is toward the rear of the vehicle.
^ The SISM is installed after the door water deflector.
2. Apply thread locking compound GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent to the threads of the fasteners.
3. The SISM fasteners.

TIGHTEN
^ Fasteners to 9.0 N.m (80 Lb. in.).
4. The electrical connector and CPA.

Enable the Side Air Bag system, refer to Enabling the Side Air Bag System.

TIGHTEN
Fasteners to 9.0 N.m (80 Lb. in.).
