Compressor Fitting HVAC: Service and Repair









Remove or Disconnect
1. Recover refrigerant from A/C system.
2. Air cleaner assembly.
3. Compressor suction hose from accumulator.
4. Compressor discharge hose from condenser.
5. Raise vehicle and support.
6. Compressor splash plate.
7. Oil filter.
8. Oil cooler lines at adapter.
9. Oil pressure switch.
10. Suction/ Discharge hose assembly from compressor.
11. Suction/ Discharge hose assembly from vehicle.


Install or Connect
1. Suction/ Discharge hose assembly to vehicle.
2. Suction/ Discharge hose assembly to compressor.

Tighten Block fitting to 33 N.m (24 lb. ft.)

3. Oil pressure switch.
4. Oil cooler lines at adapter.
5. Oil filter.
6. Compressor splash plate.
7. Lower vehicle.
8. Compressor discharge hose to condenser.
9. Compressor suction hose from accumulator.

Tighten both line fittings to 24 N.m (18 lb. ft.)

10. Air cleaner assembly.
11. Check engine oil level.
12. Evacuate and charge system.
13. Leak test all refrigerant connections.
