A/C Compressor System

Up to 120 ml (4 fluid ounces) of oil can collect in the crankcase. Therefore, it is important when replacing a compressor that the oil in the old compressor crankcase be drained and measured (discard the oil after recording the amount).

Replacement compressors will not have any oil in the compressor. The correct amount of oil needs to be added to the replacement compressor before installation.
