Frontal SIR System Remove or Disconnect

Remove or Disconnect
Disable the Frontal SIR system, Refer to Disabling the Frontal SIR System.
1. The driver seat, refer to Seats in Seats and Carpet.
2. The sill plate - LH, refer to Sill Plate in Seats and Carpet.
3. Lift up the carpet and insulation to access the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM).
4. The Connector Position Assurance (CPA) and the electrical connector.
5. The fasteners attaching the SDM to the floor sheetmetal.
6. The SDM from the vehicle.

Important
^ The following procedures should be utilized in the event that the inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) mounting fasteners are damaged to the extent that the SDM can no longer be properly mounted.
