Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the passenger side I/P sound insulator panel.
2. Remove the passenger side floor air outlet retainer (2).
3. Remove the passenger side floor air outlet. Disconnect from air distributor and rotate outlet side rearward.





4. Remove the transmission control module nuts (2).
5. Remove the transmission control module (1).
^ Pull module away from studs.
^ slide module downward away from upper clip.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the transmission control module (1).
^ Slide module upward into upper clip.
^ Push module onto studs.
2. Install transmission control module nuts (2).
^ Tighten the transmission control module nuts (2) until fully seated and not stripped.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the passenger side floor air outlet. Rotate the outlet side forward into position and connect to air distributor.





4. Install the passenger side floor air outlet retainer (2).
5. Install the passenger side UP sound insulator panel.
