Enabling Afterblow Mode

The afterblow mode can be enabled to prevent reoccurrence of odor complaints. This function is used to remove condensation from the evaporator core following a drive in high temperature conditions. Enabling of the after blow mode allows the blower motor to turn ON 45 minutes after the vehicle ignition is turned OFF if, during the last ignition cycle, the compressor was engaged for more than three minutes cumulative run time. The outside temperature at ignition OFF must have been above 27°C (80°F). The blower will then run three minutes and turn OFF.

The afterblow mode can be enabled by using a scan tool.
