Removal Procedure

Description:

1. Disable the frontal SIR system and the LH side air bag. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
2. Remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3) from the inflatable restraint Side Impact Sensing Module (SISM) harness connector (4).

3. Disconnect the SDM harness connector (4) from the SISM (5).

Description:

4. Remove the SISM mounting fasteners (3).
5. Remove the SISM (4) from the door (5).
