Seat Back Recliner Sensor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Seat Back Recliner Sensor Replacement: Removal Procedure:




1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the front bucket seat.
3. Remove the seat back trim cover.
4. Remove retainer clip from the recliner motor end of the recliner shaft.

5. Slide the recliner shaft out of recliner motor sensor (outboard side) far enough to clear sensor.
6. Disconnect sensor electrical connector from beneath the seat.
7. Release sensor from the recliner gear drive case.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install sensor on the recliner gear case (snaps into place).
2. Slide recliner shaft back through the sensor and gear case.

3. Install the retaining clip onto the recliner shaft.
4. Install the electrical connector.
5. Install the rear seat belt post cover.
6. Install the seat back trim cover.
7. Install the front bucket seat.
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
