Stoplamp Switch Replacement (ABS/TCC Switch)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTICE: When installing the brake pedal switches it is very important that the brake pedal remain in the full up or at rest position or damage to the brake system and/or switch misadjustment may occur.

1. Remove the instrument panel sound insulator as needed for access.
2. Twist the upper switch counter-clockwise and remove.
3. Disconnect the upper switch electrical connectors.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the upper switch electrical connectors.
2. Install the upper switch into the upper retainer. Face the switch connector to the 6 o'clock position.
3. Slide the lower switch into the retainer until the switch plunger is fully depressed into the switch barrel.
4. Twist the switch clockwise until travel has stopped. The switch connector will face the 8 o'clock position when the switch is in the fully locked position.
5. Install the IP sound insulator as needed.
