Blower Controls

HVAC Blower Controls Circuit Description

The blower motor is controlled by the blower control module. The blower control module receives the requested blower speed from the instrument panel integration module (IPM) on circuit 754. When low speed is requested by the IPM approximately 9 volts will be measured on circuit 754. When high blower speed is requested approximately 3 volts will be measured on circuit 754. The blower control module receives power from the rear junction block through circuit 1340. The blower control module provides a ground for the blower motor through circuit 450.

Rear Blower Circuit Description

The rear blower is powered by the rear blower relay located in the rear junction block. The rear blower relay is energized by the rear integration module, through circuit 1592, when rear blower operation is requested. The rear blower motor speed is controlled by the rear blower switch. The rear blower switch uses the rear blower resister module to control medium and low speeds. The rear blower motor and the rear blower switch is grounded through circuit 350.
