REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the rear seat cushion.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.




3. Disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery.




4. Remove the right side rear carpet retainer in interior trim to expose the positive battery cable.
5. Remove the battery cable retainers from the rocker panel area.




6. Unseat the battery cable grommet from the cowl area.




7. Disconnect the battery cable from the under hood electrical center.




8. Carefully remove the battery cable from the vehicle by pulling cable through the cowl and out of the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the battery cable into vehicle. Slide the cable through the opening in the cowl panel and seat the cable grommet by pulling the cable rearward in vehicle.




2. Connect the cable to the under hood electrical center.
3. Route the cable along the rocker panel and install all of the cable fasteners.




4. Install the interior trim.




5. Connect the positive battery cable to the battery.




6. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.
7. Install the rear seat cushion.
