Transmitter Programming

A scan tool can be used to program the transmitters. The following procedure describes the menu sequence and parameter selection recommended for the scan tool. This procedure is intended to allow the programming of FOB #1, FOB #2, or all key FOBs (1st design) or FOB #1, FOB #2, FOB #3, FOB #4 or all key FOBs (2nd design).

NOTE: During the programming procedure press the trunk button first, then after holding the trunk button for approximately 1 second press the lock button. Hold both buttons in until the locks cycle. This should take approximately seconds. Repeat the procedure again if the first attempt is unsuccessful.

^ Install the scan tool.
^ Display the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) main menu.
^ Select the Special Functions menu.
^ Follow the directions on the screen display.
